More holiday snapshots...
Although it was winter and swimming was out of the question, we still went to the beach. I almost like the beach more in winter, as you often have it completely to yourself. Tathra Beach is 3 kms long, which makes for a pretty good walk. I grew up coming to Tathra most summer holidays, so coming back always reminds me of childhood summers spent camping, playing in the ocean, and eating fish and chips.
We also headed down to Merimbula, and did the Merimbula Boardwalk which is a lovely hour long walk down one side of the Merimbula lake, past oyster farms, ending at a lovely little cafe where you can enjoy a ice cream in summer, or a hot drink in winter, before wandering back. It was chilly but beautiful
